CMHA creates she places for youth to be themselves and build towards their future. Connecting young people with resources, relationships and housing they need at any point in their journey.


Carol Stewart Village
Carol Stewart Village is a long-term housing solution in Columbus best suited for young adults ages 18-24 and people in the surrounding communities experiencing homelessness or having special needs. This dormitory-style community offers education, physical and mental health care and mentorship opportunities. All utilities are included in the rent, and there is no application fee to apply.

Scholar House for Former Foster Youth
The Columbus Scholar House for Former Foster Youth serves young people ages 18-24 attending an accredited two- or four-year college or university. There are currently open units for which residents can apply. Former foster youth ages 18-24 can fill out an interest card online to learn more about the application process.

Scholar House for Student Parents
Columbus Scholar House for Student Parents brings together education and housing services for vulnerable student parents working toward their degree. Qualified participants attend an accredited college or university full time while residing at Columbus Scholar House on Columbus’ Near East Side. The student parents receive supportive services through the OSU ACCESS Collaborative program to help them get their degree while also providing for the needs of their children.
